Well, March is certainly "in like a lion", but we're not letting that stop us from roaring about some awesome outfit possibilities!
Watch below as we put together the pieces of a small capsule wardrobe, which is a collection of outfits where all components mix and match. If you are a little older, you may remember buying "Garanimals" kid's clothes. Garanimals was a children's clothing brand that featured mix-and-match separates at affordable prices. Based on this same concept, we will take 8 basic garments and scramble them to assemble over 10 stylish outfits. In reality, we could have pictured over 50 different ensembles, using just these few pieces.
Our Base Capsule Wardrobe:
Our cute little headless mannequin, Lizzy, is also sporting a black, cotton Old Navy dress, that can be styled with or without the trench coat featured above.
Add the following accessories and the possibilities are limitless!
gold necklace with beads and colored stones
Dooney and Bourke dotted purse
rust purse with green and brown tassel
golden brown belt
Eileen Fisher tan booties
Check out just a small portion of the wardrobe we put together!
Changing out the above accessories with each of our original 18 outfits, now gives us over 50 individual looks. Imagine what you could do with the addition of just a few pieces that you surely already have in your closet! You can quickly see that you don't need to have a huge wardrobe to be smartly dressed every day of the month! Come to Elizabeth Dean Boutique and we can help you assemble a small capsule wardrobe!
If you are NOT a shopper and have trouble assembling outfits on your own, keep following our blogs over the next few months as we showcase complete capsule wardrobes for sale, with the items all in one size. Our first capsule will be featured soon, in a size 14. You will see that you don't have to spend $$$ to look great and become your own fashionista!
Happy March!
